Every day, between 3:00 and 6:00 p.m., thousands of kids across Montgomery County are in an afterschool program — building new skills, getting homework help, staying safe, and finding mentors who believe in them.

The program provides students with meaningful exposure to STEM careers and advanced manufacturing through hands-on learning, industry engagement, and workforce preparation. By connecting classroom learning with real-world experiences, students gain valuable technical skills while exploring career pathways that may lead directly into apprenticeships and postsecondary education.

At the heart of Adventure Central is a unified belief that encouraging children to embrace new experiences—especially in the great outdoors—builds the life skills and confidence they need to become happier, healthier, and more productive members of their community.
