Learn to Earn Dayton is proud to announce our partnership with the Omega Community Development Center (Omega CDC) to fund the implementation of the Literacy Tree program at Fairview Elementary. This initiative represents a significant step forward in our commitment to High Impact Tutoring (HIT) as a proven strategy for closing achievement gaps in our community.

This critical work cannot be done alone. Our ability to succeed depends on our willingness to collaborate for collective impact. Throughout this special edition, you will see how our region is dedicated to the full spectrum of education. We highlight our focus on early childhood success, innovative K-12 tools, and the development of industry-aligned career pathways for high school students.

Learn to Earn Dayton (L2ED) has been actively engaged in national learning initiatives, working to bring the most innovative approaches and strengthened partnerships back to the Dayton Region.

Members of the Community Investment Fund cohort had the opportunity to meet with local and national philanthropic partners, sharing their community impact and expanding networks.

The program is expanding its scope to serve any resident of the City of Dayton with a school-aged child facing eviction. In collaboration with the Dayton Municipal Court, we are working to develop a new student eviction prevention database to proactively identify and offer services to at-risk families.

This year's cohort was selected from a highly competitive pool of applicants, representing a diverse range of professional backgrounds and life experiences within the City of Dayton.

What began as a modest outreach program for young girls, quickly grew into something bigger, On Purpose Academy and Mentoring Center (OPAMC) is a co-ed preschool focused on delivering education services for early childhood and school-aged children. OPAMC is more than a classroom, it is a catalyst for growth. Their mission is to elevate and inspire preschoolers and youth to be focused, purposeful, and resilient.

In 2021, the Equity Center was a small but passionate organization operating on a $40,000 budget. In just a few years, and many community partnerships later, it has grown into a key force within Dayton, expanding its reach and growing tenfold. They work to revive communities through education & workforce development.

Last week, Learn to Earn Dayton invited student and adult participants from the Student Vision for Dayton work groups to come together and review the My Voice. My City. My Future. draft plan, to ensure it appropriately aligns with the shared vision and reflects the voices of the youth who participated.
