From Vision to Action: Impact Presentations from the Civic Leadership Program Inaugural Class

After 10 months of deep dives into community organizing, policy advocacy, and collaborative problem-solving, the journey has reached a defining milestone. This week, we gathered to witness the Impact Presentations, marking the official completion of our very first Civic Leadership Program (CLP) cohort.

It wasn't just a graduation; it was a powerful showcase of what happens when passion meets a structured framework for change.

The CLP wasn't designed to be a passive lecture series. It was an intensive, hands-on incubator for the next generation of civic architects. Over the past nearly year-long residency, our fellows navigated:

  • Systems Thinking: Understanding the "why" behind local challenges.

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Building bridges between community voices and decision-makers.

  • Strategic Planning: Turning abstract ideas into actionable project blueprints.

The room was electric as each leader took the stage. While the projects spanned diverse sectors—from urban sustainability to youth mentorship—a common thread of resilience and data-driven empathy ran through them all.

"The CLP didn't just give us a seat at the table; it taught us how to build our own tables where everyone is invited to eat." — Cohort Member

While the formal program has concluded, the work is only beginning. These graduates are transitioning from "students" to Alumni Ambassadors, carrying their projects into the real world with the support of the network they built here.

To our inaugural cohort: You’ve set a high bar. Your dedication to your communities over the last 10 months has been nothing short of inspiring. We can't wait to see the ripples your leadership will continue to create.

Inspired by the success of our inaugural class? We are officially looking for the next group of visionaries to carry this momentum forward.

If you are a community advocate, a local organizer, or a resident with a vision for a better city, the CLP provides the tools, the mentorship, and the network to scale your impact. As part of Cohort 2, you will benefit from a refined curriculum based on the successes of our first year, gaining exclusive access to local policy experts and a collaborative peer group that will support you long after the program ends.

The application window is open now thru May 12 at noon.

Congratulations to the Class of 2026! You didn't just complete a program; you started a legacy.
